Personality:
Positive traits
Determined: Bakugou is shown to be incredibly determined throughout the series, whether it's his goal to eventually become the Number One Hero and surpass All Might, or to win the Sports Festival, or anything else. Although this can be a detriment to him in that he doesn't know when to give up, and has fought and abused his quirk to the point of passing out before, it's mostly a strength. Earlier in the series, Bakugou was seen as more villainous than heroic, by both the public and League of Villains, and was targeted and kidnapped for this reason. Despite the judgement of others, including professional heroes, and the overwhelming odds between himself and the League of Villains, he refused to take their side or even pretend to because it would go against his goals and ideals of what a heroic person does. His determination has also helped him in becoming a better person through his actions. When other people don't show the same will, such as when he thought that Shouto wasn't using the fire side of his quirk against him because the other student looked down on him, he tends to lose his temper.
Intelligent: Despite his loud and aggressive personality, Bakugou is highly intelligent. He's able to read battle situations and people, both his enemies and his allies, and act on that. Although he tends to insult his classmates, he also pays attention to where their strengths and weaknesses lie, along with his own, and create strategies based off of that information. The same goes for when he fights villains. While Bakugou is highly observant in these aspects, he tends to thrive more in being able to act in the moment once he's there rather than planning very far ahead. This trait also helps him in eventually realizing that Izuku inherited One for All from All Might, after basing it off of that he knew All for One could steal people's quirks and connecting that information to previous conversations he had with Izuku and All Might. Also, Bakugou is shown to be academically gifted, having ranked third in his class during mid-terms.
Blunt: While Bakugou can be rude, he's also easy to read and (generally) doesn't deceive people. He will say what's on his mind and can even be insulting, but because of this when he praises people it's just as sincere. He's very open about what he wants and goes after it. He' also tends to accept responsibility rather than blaming his upbringing or anything else for his behavior. Although he is blunt, he's also trustworthy when it comes to sensitive information, such as the truth behind Izuku's quirk.
Negative traits (CW: Bakugou is a former bully and there is a mention of encouraging suicide)
Aggressive: Bakugou is short-tempered, and his aggressive nature on amplifies this. Growing up, he would bully and threaten Izuku, who at the time was quirkless, and at one point even encouraged him to jump off the roof when he learned Izuku was applying to the same hero school as him. He even threatens his friends and other classmates, claiming that he'll kill them or telling them to die, though these threats are empty and more about an "image" than something he would do. He has also matured somewhat, though his competitive nature still leads to him screaming and insulting people. Because of this, even though he is making an effort to work with others, he can be difficult to get along with on a good day, and earlier he was seen as a potential villain.
Prideful: Suffering from a very extreme type of gifted child syndrome, due to his powerful quirk and ability to pick up new skills quickly, Bakugou was constantly praised as a child and it went to his head. Because of this, anytime he experienced a loss or perceived a weakness in himself, he felt inferior and became increasingly upset, acting out in harmful ways such as threatening others or bottling up his frustration until he couldn't anymore. It also makes it difficult for him to be in a position where he is vulnerable, and he has lashed out at people who tried helping him. He especially perceived Izuku as a threat to his pride, because even though he was quirkless he had traits that Bakugou lacked, such as the strength to be compassionate.
Loud: Everything about Bakugou is explosive, from his quirk to his personality in general. Bakugou doesn't really understand what an inside voice is, and tends to yell and scream often. This might help him with being intimidating, depending on who you ask, but it makes him horrible for anything that involves stealth. With that being sad, he knows where his strengths and weaknesses lie, but his personality can be A Lot.
Powers/Abilities:
• Explosion: Katsuki's quirk which allows him to secrete a nitroglycerin-like substance through the sweat glands in his palms at will, and then ignite it to explode. Katsuki is shown to have a great degree of control over the power of his explosions, and can even use them in a way that is similar to a stun grenade, or use them along with the elements in his environment such as oxygen to create an explosion with the same power as a missile. He can also use his quirk to go airborne, and has been shown to store his sweat in grenades that he can use later, or give to a teammate so that they can use them.
• Enhanced Strength: His quirk doesn't include super strength, but it's more of a byproduct from training his quirk for most of his life. That, and he's a shounen character.
• Enhanced agility: For the same reasons as his strength.
• Enhanced endurance: He's very headstrong and relentless, and can take quite a bit before passing out. However, he gets injured as easily as any normal human.
Regret: Bakugou's regret he wants to undo is how he bullied Izuku Midoriya while growing up. He already was making efforts to atone for it in his world, and recognizes how his actions also pushed Izuku to be so self-destructive in his heroics.
