[It was a fucking bed. How had whoever the fuck designed it managed to make it so complicated?]

[Oh, phew, at least they still have them! That's something at least, and as he leans over to take the screws and put them in with the other bits he's trying to make sense out of, he gently whaps Katsuki on the shoulder with the paper in his hand. There's no fear in the gesture, just a sense of amusement. Some things don't ever change.]

It's like ninety percent wood, Katsuki. You can't weld wood. Although I know you'd try. It'll be fine, let's just start from the top again. Panel 1 should have two holes on one long end, and then 6 holes on the side. That's the front base, and then there are the two side bases--is that them?

[Katsuki swats at the paper, but there's no actual anger in it. Looking at each panel, he places two of them next to eachother.]

Those....yeah, those look like that's it. Okay, so here, you hold these two like this--

[Shouto sets up the front panel and one of the sides in the shape of an L, motioning for Katsuki to hold them thusly.]

[Like he's just gonna half-drape himself over Katsuki now to get the two screws into place, and maybe he's doing that on purpose, pressing himself into Katsuki's side. Is it necessary? No. But his boyfriend's cranky, and he just wants him to smile.]

I know how to hold a bed panel.

[Katsuki rolls his eyes but obliges. He could think of something he wants screwed-

His face warms up and he grunts, and he forgets about the bed frame (or he just doesn't care) as he pulls Shouto closer to him, whispering against his lips.]

We could always just sleep on the floor.

[Their mission is temporarily forgotten as Katsuki tugs Shouto closer, half into his lap, murmuring words against his own slowly curling lips.]

Thought we were gonna compromise. Get a new bed that's just ours.

[Of course, here he is brushing a light kiss over Katsuki's lips instead of going back to work.]

Might be more comfortable for some things than the futon. Or the bare floor.

Yeah well... [Katsuki wraps his arms around his boyfriend, grinning against his mouth.] I didn't know that you'd need a fucking engineering PhD to assemble it.

[It sends sparks down his spine every time, and he forgets what they were doing for a moment, leaning in to let a kiss linger on Shouto's lips before he mentions the floor.]

[Answering can wait, right? Kisses are more important. So he's just gonna do that first, one kiss following another, following another, lingering as his tongue brushes Katsuki's lower lip, teasing. He still can't believe they're doing this, sometimes. It's like something in a dream.]

Mm, nothing, really. But it's a little hard on the knees for...some of the stuff we do.

[He almost makes it all the way through the words without turning pink, but at least he does manage to successfully sound flirty, running a hand through Katsuki's hair.]

[Answering can always wait. Katsuki moans softly and eagerly returns each kiss. He arches his hips into Shouto's, the light motion of his tongue jolting his whole body with electricity. If it's a dream, he doesn't want to wake up.]

[He's so cute when he gets embarrassed like that. Katsuki smirks, his eyes bright as he tilts his hand into Shouto's hand.]
